VANILLA CREPES

 
 
This is another dessert I made when I was craving for sweet and cooling things the day I was recovering from my illness. As simple as making pancakes but mind you the texture shouldn`t be as thick and spongy as pancakes. It should be light and thin.


VANILLA CREPES

Ingredients:
2 eggs
500ml fresh milk
250gm all purpose flour ( Use superfine flour or High Protein Flour for
best result)
1/2 tspn salt
2 tblspn caster sugar
2 tspn vanilla essence
2 tblspn butter, melted

Method:
1. Combine all ingredients and beat on high speed for 5 minutes. Let batter stand
for 15 minutes.
2. Pour about one spatula of batter on pre-heated non-stick frying pan. Use crepes pan
if you own one.
3. Lift the pan off the heat and tilt it so that the batter forms an even, thin layer on the pan.
( I could hardly perform this that I finally use the back of my spatula to press and make
a thin round shape of the batter on the pan...Like making lempeng ler..)

4. Cook until it sets and the bottom is golden.
5. Remove from the pan and place on grease proof paper. Serve immediately or freeze in airtight
container for up to one month.
(*Tips to freeze : Stack the finished crepes between sheets of grease proof paper and keep in
airtight container)
My crepes don`t look yellowish coz those surfaces are at the inner side of the foldings. I still prefer the brownish color of them. That doesn`t matter, does it? The taste was still as good....

Wanna try the way I enjoyed my crepes ??..It wuz with durian ice-cream and blueberry fillings. Yes..looks reallllly sweet but I just couldn`t help it.....Makan jer laaaaa....

16.Kak Leen : Waalaikummussalam Kak Leen, Hmmm..mungkin dia tak label tepung high protein kot. Cuba Kak Leen cari Superfine Flour atau Tepung Halus..atau simply dia tulis tepung roti. Brand NONA ada tepung2 tu..Brand Blue Key pun ada..Nanti cuba cari lagi ye..InsyaAllah jumpa.
17.MamaFaMi : Ni orang yg baru baik demam selsema ni pun hentam semacam jer...heh heh heh, sampai hubby kata..makan jer..kalau sakit cari ubat...
18.cek de sam : Boleh saja makan dgn orange sauce..pendek kata, apa-apa aje lah..ikut selera masing2..
