CHEESY FRIED SPIRAL & FRUIT COCKTAIL PUDDING

This one is a fairly simple dish to make and a bit spicy..as usual, making something to cater for this orang Melayu taste bud! Just wanna deviate from the regular pasta serving which require you to prepare the pasta sauce seperately. This time I fried it altogether. I like something with chunks of tomatoes, sausages, vege, etc but this time I only have limited ingredients, so here`s my version of fried spiral.

CHEESY FRIED SPIRAL

Ingredients:
100gm sipral (Any pasta would do), boiled till softened
2 tblspn butter
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 tspn blackpepper
1/4 tspn whitepepper
1 tblspn oyster sauce
1 tomato, cubed
2 sausages, sliced thinly
10 med size prawns
carrot, cubed
red & green capsicum
2 slices cheese (any cheese would do)
salt to taste

Method:
1. Heat up butter and stir fry onion and garlic till fragrant.
2. Add in black and white peppers.
3. Add in oyster sauce. If it gets dry, add a little water.
4. Add in cubed tomatoes. Let it soften a bit, then chuck in sausages and prawns.
5. Shred the cheese slices a bit and add into the mixture. When it melts, chuck in the vege and capsicum.
( I wished I had broccoli, baby corns and mushroom... )
6. Finally, put in the spiral and salt to taste. Ready to serve !!


My pudding story...
I never liked milky or eggy pudding be it making or eating. The same goes with the family members. The only pudding that are made available in the house are the Corn Custard Pudding and Rose Syrup Pudding. But the history broken when I made this Fruit Cocktail Pudding. Not sure what made me to, might be this little passion for cooking that grows bigger and bigger as days go by, telling me to cook it at least once for the sake of trying! The recipe, it was labelled at the cocktail can.

FRUIT COCKTAIL PUDDING

Ingredients:
1 packet original flavour of jelly, abt 11 gm
2 eggs
4 cups of water
1/2 can evaporated milk (susu sejat cair)
1 cup sugar ( used 3/4 cup)
2 tblspn custard powder
1 can fruit cocktail

Method:
1. In a large casserole combine all ingredients but the fruit cocktail.
2. Stir over medium heat and bring to boil.
*If the mixture gets crumbled or lumpy, strain to other casserole using a sieve.
3. Add fruit cocktail.
** If you include the syrup as well, pls lessen the amount of plain water.
4. Stir until well combined.
5. Pour into tray or mould cups of your choice. Let cold at room temperature before chill it into refrigerator.

Tasted some but had together with leftover cocktail. Purposely not chucked in all during making coz it would make the pudding too crowded and hard to cut unless using a really sharp knife. The taste??..Not sure how to describe coz I was busy helping myself with the fruits more than the pudding!!!


Nevertheless, I still fancy the looks of various puddings on earth !!!!! Cheer your day..
