DONUT SURIA

Sugar coated
Cheese filled
Sambal Ikan Bilis filled
Many have seen and tried this Donut Suria and they recognised it as a five star recipe. Since I have tried Chef Li`s Donut appeared at mamazieza`s fp, this time round I made according to Suria`s at resipidiana. Obviously ingredient wise it is far way less than Chef Li`s one but taste wise both are equally nice and soft.

DONUT SURIA

Bahan A
3 cawan tepung gandum
3 sudu besar susu tepung
3 sudu besar lelemak sayuran (shortening)
3 sudu besar gula caster
** I like this count of threes....senang ingat!!!!

Bahan B
200ml air suam
2 sudu teh instant yeast
=> 20ml air tambahan jika perlu, bergantung kepada jenis tepung.

Kaedah penyediaan
1. Satukan semua Bahan A. Masukkan bancuhan Bahan B ke Bahan A. Masukkan air tambahan jika perlu. Kemudian uli doh hingga licin dan lembut.
2. Terus terap atau bulat-bulatkan dan letak inti pilihan.
3. Perap hingga naik dua kali ganda, lebih kurang 30 minit.
4. Goreng dengan api sederhana hingga warna coklat keemasan.
5. Salut gula icing atau celup dalam coklat cair.

About the Sambal Ikan Bilis donut, let me just tell you that I wuz actually inspired by this entry of ilda`s promoting her office mate selling Donut Pintal Sambal Ikan Bilis. I wasn`t sure whether I was actually attracted by those pleated top surface of the donuts or the sambal but heh heh heh , I finally had to forget about the pleat and make do only with sambal ikan bilis filled round donuts...Yes!! Savoury donuts for orang Melayu throats!! As usual the kids favoured the sugar coated and cheese filled.
